St. Joseph School
Elementary, K-8
Established in 1907, St. Joe’s is a coed Catholic School with approximately 600 students with 3 classes per grade.
Seattle Hebrew Academy Elementary
Early Childhood (1 year old) through 8th Grade
Orthodox Jewish Day School, celebrating their 60th anniversary, providing students, families and community a school of excellence, founded on love of God &Torah and inspiring academics within an atmosphere of K’vod HaTalmid, student dignity.
Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences
Middle & High School
Seattle Academy is located just south of Capitol Hill.
Seattle Preparatory School
High School
Seattle Prep, established in 1891, is a coed Jesuit High School found on the north end of Capitol Hill.  Seattle Prep excels in both academics and athletics.
Holy Names Academy
High School, Girls
Founded in 1880 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, Holy Names Academy is an independent Catholic school for young women in grades 9-12 with an enrollment of 675.
O’Dea High School
High School, Boys
Catholic high school for young men located just south of Capitol Hill neighborhood.

 Seattle Public Schools for Capitol Hill

Capitol Hill has two elementary schools, one middle school, and two high schools.

 Stevens Elementary School
Elementary, K-5

Lowell Elementary School

Lowell’s successful program consists of high academic standards for all students with a variety of programs. The Accelerated Progress Program (APP) challenges the district’s most advanced learners with curriculum two grades ahead of their peers.
Washington Middle School
Middle School, 6th-8th

Washington Middle School is located south of Capitol Hill, but serves as Capitol Hill’s public middle school.
Garfield High School

Garfield is the main public high school for Capitol Hill and the surrounding area.
Nova High School
High School

The Nova Project is an alternative public high school for Capitol Hill and the surrounding area.  Their focus is on social justice with an art lens.
